Promote Your Music - Use The Real World
October 25th, 2006
I know quite a few musicians who promote their website and they promote their music in the real world. The trouble is that they like to keep the two completely separate!
Your site is a great way to promote your music on the Net but it is also a great way to keep in contact with people you meet at gigs etc. You should always mention your site when talking to people. You should always have your site address on your CDs, business cards, flyers or any other promotional material you have.
Once you have those new people visit your site you should always try to get them to sign up for your email list. That’s the best way to keep in contact. Getting them there in the first place is the hard part, don’t throw away you good work by letting them just leave and forget about you.
Use the real world to keep make contact and use your site/email list to keep it.
