Independent Music - Keep It That Way

Since the dawn of the modern music industry, there has never been a better time to be an independent Artist. A few years ago there was a lot of hype about mp3 and how democratic music was becoming.

Looking back on it now, there is no doubt about the fact that mp3 caused a revolution but in its first few years that was more for the listener than for the bands and Artists. The Internet is still in its infancy and who knows what sort of digital revolutions lay in wait.

For now, the first really important one is happening. The average surfer is becoming very comfortable with using their credit card online so whether it be CDs, downloads or anything else, the potential customers really do exist in large numbers now!
